Dr. Wendy Sligl

Dr. Wendy Sligl is an Associate Professor in Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Alberta and has an adjunct appointment in the School of Public Health Sciences. She completed medical school at the University of British Columbia (2001) followed by training in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Alberta. She subsequently obtained her Master of Science in Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health (2009). Her clinical practice is in critical care and general and transplant infectious diseases. She is the Educational Director for Critical Care and a Clinician Scientist with interests in sepsis; nosocomial infection, antimicrobial stewardship, and infection in the immune compromised host.
