Dr. Wong is an internist and critical care physician at St. Michael’s Hospital. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Wong received simulation training through ACES (Acute Critical Events Course). She currently holds the position of Director for the Cardiac Resuscitation Educational Program, is the Chair of the Cardiac arrest committee and is the Deputy Physician-in-Chief for the Department of Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital. Dr. Wong’s particular interest is in using simulation as an educational tool for in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) training. Particular focus is on multidisciplinary team training. In-hospital cardiac arrest data is gathered concurrently and downloaded into a cardiac arrest database and used for quality assurance purposes. Analysis of the IHCA data is used to provide ongoing guidance and direction for the cardiac arrest simulation sessions.
