Marcos graduated from medical school at the Universidad Nacional (Colombia) and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University del Valle. He then completed a fellowship in ambulatory anesthesia and Liver Transplant Anesthesia with the University of Western Ontario. Marcos completed a second Obstetric anesthesia fellowship at the University of Toronto. After completion of his fellowship, he retrained in Anesthesia with the University of Toronto. Currently, Marcos is Staff Anesthesiologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Advance Support program at the Michener Institute. He has been an instructor of ACLS, PALS, NRP and ATLS for more than 10 years. Marcos is actively involved in teaching and developing different applications of ultrasound in the perioperative setting. Marcos works an instructor for the American College of Chest Physicians in the basic, advance and TEE critical care Ultrasound courses; also, he is an instructor with the WinFocus and CEUS IP program.
