Marat Slessarev is an adult intensivist working in London, ON at the Critical Care Trauma Centre, Victoria Hospital since 2017 and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Western University. He is a Hospital Donation Physician (LHSC) and a Regional Medical Lead for Organ Donation with the Trillium Gift of Life Network. He is a co-PI of the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group Neurologic Physiology after Removal of Therapy (NeuPaRT) program of research, which seeks to determine the temporal relationship between cessation of neurologic and circulatory function following withdrawal of life sustaining measures, and interpret these data from the ethical, legal and social dimensions in order to inform DCD practice.
