Dr. Jonathan Elmer

Dr. Elmer is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His research is focused on improving outcomes from cardiac arrest. His work achieve focuses on knowledge creation in three domains: elucidating the effect of neurocritical care and its delivery systems on recovery; advancing the science of neurological prognostication and post-arrest risk stratification; and developing robust methods for analysis of continuous, correlated physiological and electroencephalographic (EEG) data. Clinically, he attends in the neurovascular and neurotrauma intensive care units and on the Post-Cardiac Arrest Service at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
