François Lauzier is an assistant professor at the Department of Medicine at l’Université Laval. He is a scientist at the CHU de Québec Research Center. He completed his medical training, his internal medical residency and his masters’ degree in clinical research at l’Université de Sherbrooke. He then completed a critical care residency and research training at McMaster University. He currently holds a clinician-scientist Junior 2 career award from the Fonds de recherche du Québec-Santé (FRQS). Dr Lauzier’s research program, funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research and the FRQS, focuses on pituitary disorders in traumatic brain injury. He is also studying the prognostic evaluation of severe traumatic brain injury patients and in the decisional process leading to level of care decisions in these patients. He is also interested in thromboembolic diseases, hemorrhagic complications and prevention of infections in the ICU.
