Emilie Belley-Cote obtained her MD from Université de Sherbrooke. After internal medicine and cardiology training, as well as an MSc in Clinical Sciences at Université de Sherbrooke, she completed a critical care fellowship at McMaster University. She is currently in her fourth year of the Clinician Investigator Program and of a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at McMaster University. She practices critical care cardiology.
Dr. Belley-Cote holds a CIHR Doctoral Award. She has received the 2015 CANCARE Society Award for Excellence in Critical Care Research. During her PhD, her goal is to set the foundations of a research program focused on troponins in critical care. Dr. Belley-Cote’s other research interests include arrhythmia surgery and choice of valve prosthesis. At this stage in her career, she has published 42 peer-reviewed journal articles, 9 as first or last author. She has also published 39 abstracts.
