Dr. Cindy Munro

CindyMunroDr. Munro graduated from the York Hospital School of Nursing in York, Pennsylvania. She earned her BSN at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, an MSN at University of Delaware, and a PhD in Nursing and Microbiology and Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Munro is the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the College of Nursing at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Munro’s research on oral care in critically ill adults has been funded for over 10 years by the National Institute of Nursing Research. She has published more than 100 articles. Dr. Munro is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, and serves on the Academy’s Acute and Critical Care Expert Panel. She is also a Fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, is nurse co-editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Critical Care, and is President-elect of the Southern Nursing Research Society.
