Dr. Briseida Mema studied Medicine at the University of Tirana in Albania. She completed her Paediatric residency and Critical Care subspecialty training at the University of Toronto. She is currently a staff physician at the Critical Care Medicine Department, Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
During her training and as a faculty, she been voted and awarded many teaching awards.
She is a Clinician Educator and her interests involve technical skills training and learning transfer from the simulation to the bedside. She is a member of examination board for Critical Care Medicine, Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. She is completing the Masters of Health Professions Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her Masters is being supported by a Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada grant “Fellowship for Studies in Medical Education”.
