Dr. Antoine Pronovost

antoinepronovostAntoine Pronovost is a Staff Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at St Michael’s Hospital in downtown Toronto, and Assistant Professor with the Department of Anesthesia, University of Toronto.
Antoine completed an MBA, residency in Anesthesiology, and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (all at the University of Toronto).
Antoine joined St. Michael’s Hospital in 2008 as clinician-administrator, splitting his time between anesthesia, critical care, and administrative responsibilities. Antoine’s administrative interests focus on quality improvement. Recent projects include: standardization of care in ICU for patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, streamlining of pre-admission care before surgery, and operational consulting for SMH 3.0 (a major hospital campus redevelopment project involving a 17-story patient care tower serving critically ill patients).
Since 2010, Antoine has served as Medical Director of the Trauma and Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit (TNICU).
