My name is Alice Grassi, I come from Monza, Italy. I got my Med School graduation in 2010 at University of Milan-Bicocca and then I specialized in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine in 2016. I trained as an Anaesthesiologist and Intensive Care doctor at San Gerardo Hospital in Monza. During the years of my residency, I had also the opportunity to participate in many research projects. First, I worked in the Critical Care Experimental Lab of my University, focusing on mice models of ARDS. Then, between 2014 and 2015, I moved to Toronto, Canada, where I had the fantastic opportunity to work in Prof. Haibo Zhang’s Lab, specialized in animal models of respiratory failure. After specialization, I started to work as an anaesthesiologist. From last February, I also work as research fellow in the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at San Gerardo Hospital, Monza. I am involved in projects regarding acute respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation and diaphragmatic dysfunction in critically ill patients.
