Alexi Wood is a litigator in DLA Piper Canada’s Toronto office, with a focus on regulatory, administrative, and constitutional law.
Alexi represents clients at all levels of courts in Ontario as well as before various tribunals and administrative bodies, and the Supreme Court of Canada. She also assists members of regulated health professions with disciplinary matters, Coroners’ inquests, and at the Consent and Capacity Board. In addition, Alexi has represented Canadian Civil Liberties Association in a variety of Charter cases at the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, including R. v Patrick and recently R v Barabash.
Alexi is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law where she teaches Advanced Torts, a course she created in 2012. She is recipient of the 2014 Precedent Setter award from Precedent Magazine.
