Each year there is a selection of in-depth workshops to choose from. In many cases, these are designed to be hands-on and interactive. Topics have included a Neurocritical Care Masterclass, Fellow’s Day, Ultrasound Workshop, Simulation Day and more.
A full 3 days with more than 25 hours of presentations including plenaries, panels, debates, etc. International experts lead the discussions on the most cutting-edge science. The CCCF program constantly receives outstanding evaluations for the quality of the content. Topic areas have included sepsis, deceased organ donation, ventilation, anesthesia, brain injury, cardiology, delirium, ECLS, acute lung injury, nursing, renal failure, sedation, toxicology and more.
CCCF presents approximately 150 high quality abstract submissions in an e-poster format with categories: Basic or Translational Science, Education, Quality Assurance & Improvement, Retrospective or Prospective Cohort Study. The CCCF format provides presenters an excellent opportunity to receive 1-1 feedback from peers and international faculty in an informal, interactive and stimulating atmosphere.
The world’s leading experts on critical care have all shared the podium at CCCF over the years. Canada’s foremost clinicians and researchers participate each year and the program is designed to encourage collaboration and discussion.
The CCCF Awards are a coveted program highlight and include: Outstanding Trainee Abstract, Outstanding Health Professional Abstract, Michael Ward Award for Best Basic or Translational Science Study, Allan Spanier Award for Best Educational Study and the Garner King Award for Best Clinical or Quality Improvement Study.
All presentations from past Forums are available, providing access to high quality research to those to look back on. Presentations are available with a password for those who’ve attended the meeting.
