Dr. Mauri is an Assistant Professor and Staff Physician at the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care, Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, University of Milan, Italy. Dr. Mauri trained at the University of Milan-Bicocca in Monza, Italy. He has been a research fellow at the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston USA. He has also worked as staff anesthesiologist at San Gerardo Hospital, Monza as well as post-doc fellow at the University of Milan-Bicocca; Monza, Italy. Research focus of Dr Mauri is the interaction between respiratory support (invasive and non-invasive) and patient’s physiology in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Dr Mauri is a member of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and part of the executive committee of the Pleural Pressure Working Group (PLUG) within ESICM.
