Dr. Steven Schwartz is a Professor of Paediatrics at The University of Toronto and Head of the Division of Cardiac Critical Care Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. He received his MD from Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Schwartz trained in general pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children/Temple University in Philadelphia, pediatric cardiology at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital/University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and in pediatric critical care medicine at Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston. He is the author of numerous papers and book chapters on the physiology of critically ill patients with congenital heart disease. He holds the Norine Rose Chair in Cardiovascular Sciences at SickKids.
