Acute Kidney Injury and Renal Replacement Therapy in the ICU: a team approach.
This multidisciplinary symposium is aimed at physicians and nurses with an interest in the assessment and management of the ICU patient with acute kidney injury. Sessions will cover the pathogenesis and epidemiology of acute renal failure in the ICU patient, as well as prevention and management. Renal replacement therapy, including IHD, SLED and CRRT will be reviewed. Presentations will provide exposure to both the practical aspects of performing and troubleshooting CVVHD, CVVH and CVVHDF, as well as a more in-depth review of the current literature and novel therapies.
